It was  built  by the Allan Herschell Co. in the 1930s in Tanawanda, NY.This is a Full Size Amusement Park Merry Go Round with Thirty Horses. This particular Merry-Go-Round has been 95% restored,  & most of the electrical has been attended to. The unit is racked in a 35 Foot Van. Everything is cradled in leather to avoid friction to the beautiful finishes of the horses & Carousel parts. No metal to metal contact. The actual Merry-Go-Round trailer or main unit has been sitting in the open for 20 years and wont be as new looking as the picture looks. The owner said a couple days of work & paint will bring back its youthful appearance. The unit is chain driven but there is also available a gear drive. The 4 tires have also been sitting out for 20 yrs. & will need replacing. The whole Carousel is run by a Five Horsepower AC, 240v motor. This motor has recently been completely rebuilt and rewound and actually works better than when it was brand new. The horses have wooden bodies with aluminum heads & legs-This makes it easy for replacement. Everything is in wonderful condition and will make many children & adults alike very happy after they mount up and ride away, the children with joy and the adults with fond memories of childhood. You will note that many of the pictures are in black & white and some are even period drawings. This is because the actual Merry-Go-Round is already racked for immediate shipment. There are two drawings of the complete Carousels. The last picture or drawing is the actual Merry-Go-Round. It is the one with the flag on the top.
