Description
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Chris Moneymaker’s ACTUAL final hand from the 2003 World Series of Poker! In 2003, Chris Moneymaker, an unknown amateur poker player, changed the face of poker when he parlayed a $40 satellite on PokerStars.com into an astounding $2,500,000 at the World Series of Poker $10,000 main event.  That event had 839 entries.  After Chris's success, the next year had 2,575 entries, then 5,619, then 8,773, and the boom continues today.  The chant heard around the world was, “If he could do it, why not me?”  Overnight, Chris Moneymaker had turned poker from a penny ante kitchen table game into a multi-billion dollar industry. Here's the hand that changed poker forever (Please note that there are many erroneous reports propagated over the internet of the way the hand played out.  What you see here is the correct accounting of the hand, confirmed by the ESPN broadcast): Sammy Farha, with JhTd bet $100,000, and Chris, with a chip lead of about $6.5 million to $1.89 million, called with 5d4s. On the flop was Js 5s 4c.  It was the dream flop for Chris, he had two pairs and Sammy had only top pair.  Chris checked.  Sammy bet $175,000, and Chris check-raised another $275,000.  Sammy pushed in the rest of his chips, and Chris called instantaneously. The 8d on the turn didn't help Sammy, and the 5h on the river sealed his fate, a full house for Chris, two pairs for Sammy. Chris Moneymaker had just won $2,500,000. I was there when it all happened, working behind the scenes at Binion's Horseshoe.  I obtained permission to keep the deck, so right after Chris had posed for those famous photos where he was holding wads of cash high in the air, I carefully placed all of the cards from that final hand on top of the rest of the deck, kept in sequence, along with the dealer's cut card, and put the complete deck back into the double box along with the unused deck. Now you can own those actual cards.  If you are a serious collector of unique, one of a kind items, then this might be for you, or maybe you want to give the ultimate gift to someone you know who loves poker.  Just think about it, you will own the cards that changed history.  You will be the only person in the world to know what the burn cards were, and the order of the rest of the deck. You will have Chris’s cards to touch, to feel, to play with in a special game, or maybe just to dream with.  You might even be able to sense from them the aura, the fate, or whatever it was that day that gave Chris the luck he needed to go along with his skill.  They might change your life too. For sale is THE ACTUAL DECK that earned Chris Moneymaker the 2003 WSOP Main Event bracelet.  Along with the deck is the dealer cut card, the Kem box they came in, as well as the sealed, unopened deck that was also in that box.  Also included is the Certificate of Authenticity, signed by me, Matt Savage (the tournament director), and Chris Moneymaker. Future generations will talk about how Chris Moneymaker made poker the most popular game in the world.  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own the final hand, of the final event, of the 2003 WSOP.  Don’t miss out on the chance to own the cards that changed history.
